City and County of Denver Pilot Rebate Program for All-Electric Affordable Housing

Eligibility: 
To be eligible for the Denver Pilot Rebate Program for All-electric Affordable Housing your building must: Be located within the City and County of Denver; Not be owned by the City and County of Denver; The building is a new affordable housing project that is an all-electric property as defined by the 2022 DEC. The equipment installed must meet applicable code requirements and minimum performances standards outlined in the eligible heat pump equipment guidelines, and be AHRI certified.

Amount: 
Maximum amount of $600,000 per project, rebate amounts depend on the type of system, ranging from $700-$1,000 per cooling tonnage, $1,800 per condensing unit, $1,300-$1,800 per water heater, and $250-$500 per packaged unit.
Time Available: 
NA / Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding to support about 10 new affordable housing projects, and may reach capacity quickly.
Notes: 
Must apply for rebate before start of construction and once approved have 3 years to complete the project and receive the rebate.

Population Served: 
Two-thirds of the units must house families at or below 80% of Denver's Area Median Income (AMI). Projects serving households at or below 30% AMI or formerly homeless households will receive priority consideration.
