Rebate reservations can be made after the MF program launches in 2026. Funding runs through September 30, 2031 or until expended - whichever occurs first.
Notes:
Rebates cannot be accessed retroactively. Project must be completed by a registered contractor and obtain a rebate reservation. HEAR rebates are for specific types of eligible electric appliances (heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, ranges and stoves, electric service centers/panels, electric wiring, etc.) HEAR rebates can be utilized in existing, income-qualified multifamily buildings less than 50,000 square feet in size. The program is expected to be available in early 2026 for multifamily buildings.

Cannot be stacked with other federal funding (besides tax credits) for the same measure.
