Users may select as many or as few of the provided filters as applicable to find the opportunities best suited to their projects.

  • This is a non-exhaustive resource, and we encourage users to reach out to their utility providers and/or municipalities for additional opportunities if they are not represented on this page.  
  • Each of these opportunities was reviewed, to the best of our abilities, for multifamily (four or more units) eligibility. Please check with program administrators to confirm eligibility for a specific development or project.

You can integrate energy efficiency strategies in your construction designs with the help of our free consultation services. Find out how to drive year-over-year cost savings and earn rebates on energy-efficient equipment you choose to install.

The Energy Efficient Transformer Rebates Program is designed to provide rebates to industrial or manufacturing facility owners, commercial building owners, multifamily building owners, utilities, or energy service companies for the replacement of a qualified energy inefficient transformer with a qualified energy efficient transformer.

While each community's program differs, a business visit will typically entail: A walk-through of your business with one of our team members; A walk-through of your business with one of our team members; A review of your business' lighting; A brief evaluation of your equipment and mechanical systems and their respective energy use; A report recommending the first steps to take to start saving energy and money on your utility bills; A plan of action to improve your building's operating systems and reduce its energy consumption; Assistance with community and utility rebates.

The Fannie Mae Green Financing Business provides mortgage financing to apartment buildings and cooperatives (with 5 or more units) to finance energy and water efficiency property improvements. Its green financing programs include Green Rewards, and preferential pricing for loans secured by a property with an eligible Green Building Certification. All Fannie Mae green loans are securitized as Green Mortgage Backed Securities (Green MBS). To learn more about these programs, multifamily property owners should coordinate with a Fannie Mae DUS Lender.

The investment tax credit (ITC) is a tax credit that reduces the federal income tax liability for a percentage of the cost of a solar system that is installed during the tax year.

The production tax credit (PTC) is a per kilowatt-hour (kWh) tax credit for electricity generated by solar and other qualifying technologies for the first 10 years of a system's operation. It reduces the federal income tax liability and is adjusted annually for inflation.

Gunnison County Electric Association (GCEA) partners with Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association to provide the Energy Efficiency Rebate Program.

The Geothermal Energy Grant Program (GEGP) provides grants that support the use of zero-emission, geothermal energy for electricity generation and space/water heating and cooling in homes, businesses, and communities. Grants are intended for the installation of ground-source heat pumps within groups of individual residential buildings or for individual nonresidential buildings, interconnected geothermal exchange systems (community district heating; thermal energy networks), and geothermal electricity projects.

Residential and commercial customers are eligible for rebates on air sealing, insulation, efficient heating and cooling systems and other measures. Rebates are administered by Garfield Clean Energy, which also provides free energy coaching.

The Innovative Housing Incentive Program helps address Colorado's housing shortage by supporting the development and expansion of the state's innovative housing manufacturing businesses.

The Integrated Design Assistance Program (IDAP) brings together key stakeholders, including project owners, developers, design professionals and builders, for a whole-building approach, from concept to construction. IDAP provides incentives for design and construction. It also offers technical advice related to building science and energy code in addition to an optional performance incentive based on energy savings.

In partnership with First Southwest Bank (FSWB), LPEA can support your energy efficiency and/or solar photovoltaic project through our On-Bill Financing (OBF) program. This program aims to help members finance these projects over time while reaping the energy-saving benefits immediately. Apply for a low-interest loan to finance your energy efficiency projects with FSWB. If approved, you will then pay that loan off over time as part of your LPEA electric bill.

MPE's Electrify Everything program allows qualifying consumer-members to spread upfront costs of installing heat pumps, commercial EV chargers, insulation upgrades and solar panels over multiple years - as an additional charge on your monthly electric bill. Enjoy the benefits of your upgrade while saving money and helping the planet. Projects funds awarded through this program must be recouped in projected energy savings within 10 years.

EOC's multifamily programs help fund weatherization improvements, including new insulation, high-efficiency water heaters and pumps, and efficient light fixtures. EOC helps Colorado property owners conduct an energy audit, navigate rebates and funding, and work with contractors to ensure a complete and timely project. The result is lower operating costs that ensure properties remain affordable for tenants.

The Multifamily Buildings program is designed to improve comfort and keep living costs affordable. No-cost services include: Identifying energy-saving opportunities through an onsite assessment; Reviewing the assessment report and its findings with you; Determining energy efficiency improvements; Installing free energy-saving products in each unit such as light bulbs, showerheads and aerators.
